This summer, Gabriela Scherer will make her debut at the legendary Bayreuth Festival. In Valentin Schwarz’s production of Götterdämmerung, Gabriela will sing the role of Gutrune with Simone Young leading the Festspielorchester and Festspielchor.
Gabriela Scherer first sang Gutrune in 2019 at the Oper Leipzig. She has made a specialty of roles by Richard Wagner, having also performed Elsa in Lohengrin, Freia in Das Rheingold and her signature role of Senta in Der fliegende Holländer. In August, she will also sing Sieglinde in Die Walküre at the Kasematten in Graz.
