On August 18 and 20, Gabriela Scherer sings Sieglinde in an abridged version of Wagner’s “Ring” at the Schlossbergbühne Kasematten in Graz. In the version called “Ring in one Evening”, Gabriela performs Sieglinde at the end of the first act of “Die Walküre”, appearing in the role for the first time. Klaus Florian Vogt is her Siegmund, Marcus Merkel conducts the Graz Philharmoniker. Elena Pankratova and Michael Volle also appear as Brünnhilde and Wotan. ORF3 telecasts the August 18 performance at 8:15 p.m. CET.
On December 25, Gabriela Scherer will expand her Mozart repertoire as she makes her role debut as Pamina in Die Zauberflöte. She will perform in three shows at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden in August Everding’s legendary production, conducted by Giuseppe Mentuccia and Eva Ollikainen. Additional performances are scheduled for December 29 and January 4, 2025.
Gabriela Scherer will sing for the first time the title role of Liszt's Die Legende von der heiligen Elisabeth with the Hungarian National Philharmonic Orchestra and Choir led by György Vashegyi. There will be three concerts. The first one will take place at the Müpa Budapest on the occasion of the Liszt Fest on October 9. This summer, Gabriela Scherer will make her debut at the legendary Bayreuth Festival. In Valentin Schwarz's production of Götterdämmerung, Gabriela will sing the role of Gutrune with Simone Young leading the Festspielorchester and Festspielchor.
