Following her acclaimed debut at the Bayreuth Festival last year – praised as “triumphant” (Nordbayerischer Kurier), “superbly cast” (Das Opernglas), and “striking” (Wanderer) – Gabriela Scherer reprises the role of Gutrune in Götterdämmerung, in Valentin Schwarz’s Netflix-inspired production, conducted by Simone Young.
She joins a distinguished cast including Klaus Florian Vogt (Siegfried), Catherine Foster (Brünnhilde), Michael Kupfer-Radecky (Gunther), Olafur Sigurdarson (Alberich), Mika Kares (Hagen), and Christa Mayer (Waltraute).

Following acclaimed performances at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein in Düsseldorf and Deutsche Oper Berlin earlier this season, Gabriela Scherer returns to the role of Senta in Wagner’s Der fliegende Holländer. She joins the Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra for two concert performances on May 13 and 15, conducted by Tarmo Peltokoski.
On April 2, 2025, Gabriela Scherer will make her debut in China and at the NCPA Beijing, singing Sieglinde in the 1st Act of Wagner's Die Walküre. Gabriela will perform with the Wiener Symphoniker led by Petr Popelka and with Ric Furman as Siegmund and Liang Li as Hunding. In the first part of the concert, the Wiener Symphoniker will play ballet music from Verdi's Aida, Don Carlos and Macbeth.
On March 29, Gabriela Scherer will make her house debut at the Teatro Real in Madrid. Performing alongside Michael Volle, she will sing excerpts from Wagner’s Der fliegende Holländer and Tannhäuser, as well as Strauss’s Arabella.
