“Der fliegende Holländer” at Deutsche Oper Berlin

Gabriela Scherer returns to the Deutsche Oper Berlin to sing her acclaimed Senta in Der fliegende Holländer for the first time at this theater.

Christian Spuck’s production will be performed three times in February, featuring Derek Welton in the title role, Patrick Guetti as Daland, Attilio Glaser as Erik, Stephanie Wake-Edwards as Mary, and Chance Jonas-O’Toole as the Steuermann. John Fiore conducts the Orchestra and Choir of the Deutsche Oper Berlin. Performances take place on February 16, 20, and 25.

Gabriela Scherer made her house debut at the Deutsche Oper Berlin in 2023, in a new production of Strauss’s Arabella, singing the title role. After this Holländer in Berlin, she will bring her Senta to Düsseldorf again, followed by concert performances in Luxembourg and Brussels.
